Course Outline

Module 1: The Fundamentals of Business
  • This module is all about learning or refreshing your knowledge of business. You will study segmentation and marketing. As well as looking at the importance of Market Profitability and defining and measuring Market Size.
  • You will look at the strategy behind a business, focusing on the importance of delivering a product or service that will allow a business to grow.
  • Finally you will explore in depth the importance of money and finance, studying key topics including cash cycle, cash flow, financial statements and valuing a business.
Module 2: Measuring & Developing your Commercial Skills & Knowledge
  • In this section of the course you will create a diagnostic that measures and benchmarks your Commercial skills and knowledge.
  • You will complete a set of real world interactive simulations in a role playing simulation where you will analyse business pitches.
  • You will be asked to answer self-reflective questions that focus on your key personal skills, both in your daily life and working environment. As well as focusing on how well you work with other people.
  • Your commercial acumen will be tested throughout through skills questions and quizzes.
  • Once you have completed the three levels you will unlock a personal skills diagnostic. This is a profile that gives a benchmark of where your commercial skills and knowledge are.
  • This profile highlights your strengths and weaknesses, as well as giving suggestions for further development.
Module 3: Applying what you've learnt
  • The final part of the course is all about applying what you have learnt to something that can be taken forward and further developed for the rest of your career.
  • A final exam will test you on everything that has been covered throughout the course. Once the correct pass rate has been completed, you will unlock your toolkits.
  • The toolkits are takeaways that allow you to continue to use the structure of the key methodology that has been taught throughout the course.
  • This powerful methodology will enable you to analyse a business with insight accurately and fast, enabling you to spot prospect and client businesses problems and opportunities.
